Prof. Jiang-Gao Mao

Jiang-Gao Mao (毛江高) was born in 1965 in Zhejiang, China. He obtained the B.S. degree of Chemistry in July 1988 at Hangzhou University, and finished his doctoral study under the guidance of Prof. JiaZan Ni (倪嘉缵院士) in Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, CAS. His dissertation research focused on the syntheses, cyrstal structures and characterizations of lanthanide complexes with crwon ethers, and he received the Ph.D. degree in inorganic chemistry in Oct., 1993. Then, he work as a Postdoctoral fellow (12/1993-12/1995), following as a associate professor (2/1996-2/1997) at Fujian Institute of Research on the Structurre of Matteer, CAS.

In June 2002,he was appointed as a professor of chemistry in Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM). Then he direct the Laboratory of inorganic solid state chemistry, and his laboratory is developing new inorganic crystal materials including polar intermetallics, metal phsphonates and inorganic metal oxides. Currently, their research mainly focuses on inorganic nonlinear optical crystals.
